Black Sacred Arts Conference

The Black Sacred Arts Conference is an annual international academic and cultural conference organized by the Yale Institute of Sacred Music. It brings together scholars, artists, performers, and religious practitioners from across the world. The conference focuses on the intersection of religion, spirituality, music, ritual, and visual arts within African and African diasporic cultures. It explores how Black expressive cultures (music, dance, ritual, visual art) shape spiritual and social life across Africa and the Black Atlantic.
