UDI HILLS

Udi Hills is a famous natural tourist attraction located near Udi town in Enugu State, Nigeria. The hills rise more than 200–240 meters above sea level and provide spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Enugu landscape. The site is popular for hiking, sightseeing, nature photography, picnics, and outdoor adventure tourism.
Historically, the hills played an important role in the early development of Enugu because coal deposits were discovered in the Udi Hills area in 1909, which later led to the growth of Enugu as Nigeria’s coal city, The environment is characterized by granite and sandstone formations, lush vegetation, scenic trails, and historic coal mining areas, making it one of the top natural attractions in southeastern Nigeria.
